About WBS

The Wellbeing Bangladesh Society (WBS) is a non-profit, non-political social service organization founded in February 2020. It was initially registered as a Society under the RJSC with registration number S-13324. In 2025, WBS obtained NGO certification from NGO Affairs Bureau with registration number 3516. From the very beginning, WBS has been devoted to ease human suffering and support individuals facing hardship, neglect, or social disparity. Guided by the Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS) and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, the organization works to uplift vulnerable communities by alleviating poverty, promoting equality, and improving living standards. WBS executes diverse projects across Education, Food Security, Health and Nutrition, Livelihoods and Resilience, Shelter and Protection, Seasonal Initiatives, and WASH facilities. These programs are designed to support homeless individuals, day labourers, and distressed communities, with special focus on destitute women, widows, orphans, and persons with disabilities. The organization is driven by a vision of a just, inclusive, and equitable society where individuals have the opportunity to learn, grow, innovate, and lead dignified lives. WBS believes that with the appropriate and timely opportunities, even the most marginalized communities can prosper. This belief guides every project, decision, and intervention the organisation pursues. As a service-focused organisation, WBS plans and delivers programmes with a strong understanding of national priorities and global humanitarian standards, maintaining transparency, accountability, and full compliance with the laws and regulations of the Government of Bangladesh.
